New Kong trailer is king

The (presumably) final trailer for “King Kong” hit the Internets on Thursday, in glorious HD Quicktime.
I’ve got to say that I’m finally excited for “Kong.” Not that I wasn’t already planning to see it, but now I know that I’m willing to wait in line and maybe miss a few hours of work to be first in line. The teaser trailer never really did much for me. The dinosaurs were originally quite unimpressive, but it looks like Peter Jackson has been spending his time well. Kong has even gotten a makeover since the last trailer.
Another little bonus that I discovered today, that everybody else probably knew, is that Andy Serkis plays Kong. Sure, he “plays” the ape in the sense that he “played” Gollum, but you get the idea.
Go check out the dizzying number of sizes and formats for the trailer, along with the “A Look Inside” featurette.

Well, I was excited before. But now I’m simply shaking in anticipation. I really love how Peter Jackson approaches things and gives the story, special effects and characters each equal weight and melds them together almost seamlessly.
Movie of the year, most likely. Episode III was obviously good - but this will close the year out nicely.

My boss just had us all gather around his desk to watch the HD version of the trailer on his 30” monitor… Its looks pretty freakin’ awesome! Especially the part when Kong swats the airplane out of the air…super f’n cool.

Yeah, the new trailer definitely made my expectations jump 100 fold. The new look to Kong definitely has a more “grown-up” feel to it, and the scar is sick looking.
Favorite part of the trailer: the scrunch face that Kong makes when he looks down at Naomi Watts.
This movie is going to own.
