LOST: New episode tonight, November 9
Resident female and TV enthusiast Danielle here to share my recap on the last episode ABC’s hit series Lost and my insights into tonight’s brand new episode.
After a torturous three week break, LOST is back tonight and the previews point to serious action. But first, a recap:
If you are not caught up on the most recent episodes, or don’t want me to spill the beans on tonight’s episode, read no further.
The last episode (entitled “…And Found”) centered around two major plot points. Sun searches frantically for her missing wedding ring. At her breaking point, Locke advises her that most missing items can be found only after one stops looking. One might wonder whether anyone ever even started looking for the survivors of the crash of Oceanic Flight 815.
Following the same theme, Michael parts ways with the “tailies” (survivors from the tail end of the plane), to look for his son, Walt. Ana-Lucia insists that the rest of the group continues on because Michael is certain to meet up with “the Others” in the direction he is headed. Jin declares his loyalty to Michael, and with the help of Eko, they set off to find him. In one particularly creepy scene, Jin and Eko crouch behind some branches and watch “the Others” silently march by barefoot with what appears to be a child dragging a teddy bear bringing up the rear. When they catch up with Michael, Jin crosses a language barrier to convince him that he is needed by the group and he will eventually be reunited with his son.
A series of flashbacks shows us that Sun visited a matchmaker to find a husband before earning the title of spinster, and her match is certainly not Jin. After a few near misses and a slight heartbreak for Sun, their paths finally cross. The episode ends when Sun finds her misplaced ring and strengthens her resolve to find her missing husband as well.
Tonight’s episode, “Abandoned” according to the official website:
Sawyer’s wound becomes life-threatening as he, Michael and Jin make their way through the interior of the island with the tail section survivors. Meanwhile, Shannon is once again haunted by visions of Walt, and Charlie becomes jealous of Locke’s interest in Claire.
Although I’m not one for spoilers because I like to be surprised, rumors about tonight’s episode point to the death of one of the show’s regular female cast members (a pretty blonde one, perhaps?) in a scene that could be called “gruesome”… at the hands of another regular cast member!
Who on the cast is most likely to inflict violence on another survivor? Charlie has already killed one island inhabitant, and Sawyer has been known to brandish a weapon as well… but my bets are on feisty Ana-Lucia. What do you think?

[…] If you are all caught up with LOST, I recommend checking out Crap Filter’s preview of the episode that airs tonight. Personally I keep up-to-date with everything LOST on the LOST-forums. But many people do not appreciate any types of spoilers or the possibility of learning something they haven’t figured out themselves. […]

I hope this episode is worth the hype, and the wait, because …and Found sucked. I like all episodes of LOST, don’t get me wrong, but I think the consensus is that nothing really happened on …And found.

I predict an ending similar to that of 90210… you know, when all the commercials hyped up the death of one of the characters and we were all like, “Oh crap, I hope it’s not Brandon!” But it turned out to be some two-bit turd with a cowboy hat.
I hate cowboy hats.

Yeah, his name was Scott. I’m still bitter about that.

What a disappointment. I may have to write about this.

Step off, Chris Coleman. And I don’t think it was a disappointment, but that may just be my girl parts talking. More to come in my assessment of this week’s episode.
