LOST: Wednesday, November 30

30 November 2005 :: By Danielle McNamara

The end of last week’s episode of LOST made me put down my half-eaten chicken wing and gasp. How’s that for an intro?

If you don’t want to know, don’t click below.

I knew something strange was going on with Ana Lucia, but I wasn’t prepared for what was coming. Last Wednesday’s episode centered around Ana Lucia, and her former life as a cop with the LAPD. In a flashback, we find out why she’s been so gun-happy on the island. It turns out that while on the job one night, Ana Lucia was shot four times and lived to tell the take. After months of therapy, Ana returns to the force, where we find out that being a cop runs in the family- her mother is the boss.

Back on the island, Sayid unleashes his fury on Ana Lucia for her accidential murder of Shannon, but Eko holds him back and Ana Lucia knocks him out. After being tied to a tree, Sayid regains consciousness and demands to be set free. Sawyer is still overvome with an infection and they need to get him back to Jack for medical care STAT, but Ana Lucia insists that Sayid should not be untied because he will undoubtedly kill her. She starts to lose her grip of leadership over the Tailies when Eko hoists Sawyer over his shoulder and takes off. Bernard and Libby are fed up with Ana and they demand to know what she is planning to do. Ana lets them go after reminding them that she is the one who has kept them alive for 48 days on the island. She asks Michael to bring her back a bag of clothes, food and some ammunition convinced that she’ll be better off on her own.

When left alone with Sayid, Ana Lucia drops her bomb. Before she was shot on the job, she was pregnant. She took it upon herself to hunt down the man who shot her and killed him in a back alley. His body was never found.

Even more shockingly, she cuts Sayid free and tells him to take his revenge on her. Once freed, Sayid tells Ana that it will do no good to kill Ana because through their losses, they are both already dead.

Tonight’s Episode, “What Kate Did” according to the official ABC LOST website:

Kate’s original crime that started her life on the run is revealed. Meanwhile, the survivors lay one of their own to rest, Kate sleeplessly watches over a feverish Sawyer, and Mr. Eko has a surprise for Locke regarding the hatch.

We’ll have to get our fill of LOST tonight, because it appears that the next new episode won’t take place until JANUARY!

Tonight, we’ll find out about the crime that originally sent Kate on the run. We’ll revisit the Dharma Initiative orientation film with an interesting discovery made by Locke and Eko. Also, Kate’s emotions runs wild with Sawyer’s return, but word has it that a hot kiss is coming up for Kate, and it won’t be with Sawyer.
