‘7th Heaven’ is still on?
I’m proud to say I have never watched the WB’s “7th Heaven.” But a lot of you have been, or did at one point, because it’s been the network’s biggest hit during its (holy shit!) 10-year run. That includes putting the wholesome smackdown to “Dawson’s Creek,” “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” and other teen dramas with insanely unrealistic dialogue.
Well, I hate to break it to ya, but the show is being canceled due to escalating production costs. The WB is losing $16 million this year because of the show. Featuring Ashlee Simpson as a cast member would have been enough for me to give it the axe.
Of course, people whose priorities are way fucked-up started a Save “7th Heaven” campaign once the whispers of cancellation surfaced. There’s also a petition online to keep the show on the air. Gary Wolkowitz supported the petition and had this to say:
This is one of the best family dramas that I have ever seen. It ranks up there with Little House on the Prairie and the Waltons. If this show goes off the air, we will lose a good part of tv history. This is one of the funniest yet serious tv series’s I have ever seen. If the show does go off the air, I am up fopr a spin-off. Life without the Camdens is life life without air.
Did “7th Heaven” just get compared to breathing — an essential element of survival? Good god, cancel this muthafucka just so these people can regain some perspective.

It’s not just life without air. It’s life life without air.
